Request Transcripts

Currently, Southeast Tech can only provide transcripts electronically and will be delivered in PDF format. You will not experience any delays in the delivery of electronic transcripts. An email address for the transcript recipient will be required during the request process. To be considered official, the transcript must be received directly from Southeast Tech.

When employers, higher education institutions or other organizations or agencies ask for a transcript of a student's higher education coursework, they are usually referring to transcripts which are transmitted to them by the sending institution and which bear some secure means of identifying them as unaltered, accurate records.

These are often referred to as "official transcripts." Southeast Tech official transcripts are printed on security paper and bear the official seal and the signature of the Registrar.

Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)

The Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) was implemented in 1974 as a federal law to protect the privacy of student education records. FERPA also gives students the right to review their education records, seek to amend inaccurate information in their records, and provide consent for the disclosure of their records. This law applies to all schools that receive funds under an applicable program of the U.S. Department of Education. FERPA information is published in the Southeast Tech Catalog/Handbook.
